BUSTA RHYMES & LUDACRIS: LIVE@THE ROYAL ALBERT HALL, LONDON
While Semtex is on tour with Dizzee in Australia, Max from 1xtra hit up the Rockcorps event at the Royal Albert Hall in London. This is what went down….
So last night I headed down to the Royal Albert Hall in London to attend the Rockcorps Concert. The atmosphere was mad the kids in the audience were incredible all on their feet dancing cheering, it was a beautiful thing to see. Cant remember the last time I saw an atmosphere like that during a live show. So I had backstage access which is always good I was working interviewing the acts drinking the free drink(mostly Cranberry juice ) Big ups To Phil from Orange for taking good care of me.
By the time I got to the venue I knew the headliner Busta Rhymes was okay to perform after all the madness at the airport. Busta was on fire loud full of energy like always. You know what the whole Flipmode family are mad cool and always good people to be around, big ups to my boy Dready!!!
Busta spoke to me about the whole deal with his new label, how he is feeling right now and made it clear that the British authorities at the Airport treated him like royalty, he said he ate 5 times in one day watched Tv, signed autographs and had photos taken of him by fans. Now that is some funny shit right, there’s us all stressing about Bus and he is having the time of his life. On the real though he said he had nothing to hide so kept calm and had nothing but good things to say about how he was treated. Once he hit the stage after Luda he tore it up….also gotta big up DJ Scratch who is incredible!!

So John Legend also was on the bill he told me he believes Estelle is a star and will work hard long term to make sure she gets the success she deserves.

Lethal B repped the UK, and got a new fan in John Legend who couldn’t stop talking about him!!
Now one man that truly stole the show was the very charasmatic slick looking Hip-Hop superstar Ludacris, Big up’s to Semtex Lional and the whole fam for making sure Luda and I caught up…last time I saw him was on TRL, and that was nothing but jokes. Luda is a total star, his dressing room was full of Champagne, cool chicks and a huge mirror! (a man has got to look good you know)
He told me his house did not burn down in Atlanta, it was his Pool house which is almost as big as his house and no!! it wasn’t no dodgy ex girl-friend that burnt it down, Luda said it was an electrical fault.
We talked about so much stuff just before he smashed it on stage. His 6th album ‘Theatre Of The Mind’ drops November, features the likes of Ne-yo T.i, Chris Brown and boxer Floyd Mayweather.
We spoke about Barack Obama who he is supporting to be the next US President.
Check out what Luda had to say below:
“I love what he stands for, and the type of person he is, I had the chance to meet him it was a very humbling experience. I feel he is the new leader of the Country. What’s most important is that people go out and vote and register to vote. I’v already voted cause in Atlanta you can vote early !!
As some of you might know Ludacris recently put out a mixtape the track ‘Politics’ had him dissing Baracks rival Jon McCain, Hilary Clinton and even George Bush. Obamas camp put a statement out saying how much they disagreed with it, so I had to ask Luda did he regret it?
“I was trying to get people out there who are not involved in the political process to get involved and vote. We actually made history being the first mixtape to make it to the goverment, with that being said my motivation is just to encourage people to vote”
” After November 4th I will be more then happy to answer your questions on this subject but at this moment in time I do not want to distract Senator Obama and all the issues he has to deal with in order to become the next President of the United States of America respect”

Before I forget I got to hang out with wicked video director Chris Robinson last night he is one of the co-founders of Rockcorps. Chris was really cool and told me he is feelin Dizzee!!
