FACEBOOK DJ CAMPAIGN

So I managed to get in contact with a human at Facebook, and she was actually pretty helpful, and is looking into the situation.
For now check out my new page here.
Most DJ’s had their pages deleted over the weekend, this kind of sums everything up:
Facebook shut down a lot of DJs friends accounts over the weekend that’s why many of you may be a friend or two down! So any one for example called DJ ________ got their account disabled. Many djs have been on facebook since the beginning and facebook had no problem with them having accounts and advertising the site. But for some reason and without notice or warning they disabled all dj accounts at the weekend. Facebooks argument is that Dj’s are an entity and brand, not a person, but we believe the reality is they ARE people as we can physically see them, touch them and every week they play our favourite songs! You don’t see 50 Cent, Fat Man Scoop, Chris Brown and Neyo getting their accounts deleted even though they are blatantly entities and brands. Facebooks other argument is that dj’s use an alias to use the facebook service and aliases are not allowed, but once again you cant tell me that fat man scoops real name is fatman scoop??. The reality is, we don’t really care that our favourite dj’s real name is really Algernon Gaylord Focker. When we see them, we call them by their dj name. Djs have been giving facebook free promotion for years and many of us started using Facebook because our favourite dj’s were on there yet now they either have to use their proper names or set up a fan page!. Many of us are friends of these djs, not just fans and we would like to interact on facebook with them the same way as we interact with the rest of our friends!!!. Please join this petition to get our dj friends back on facebook and also email info@facebook.com with your dissatisfaction at losing your favourite dj as a friend or make a personal request to facebook by using this link http://www.facebook.com/cs_forms/fshelp.php?page=21
Thank-you For Joining this campaign and please upload pictures and videos of you with your favourite dj!x
I’m glad somebody posted this. I wont be mentioning Facebook onstage, on air, or in the club any time soon.
My real name isn’t Algernon Gaylord Focker, but do join this group here.
